Hi there! Welcome to The Midwest Book Mom Blog. I’m Valerie. I’m a book loving momma of little ones voluntarily held captive by the beautiful state of Iowa. I loved reading books growing up, I was the kid who would get in trouble for reading under the covers with my flashlight. Trust me, just ask my parents.

Being a parent can be challenging but I'm learning how to blend my new phase in life with what bring me joy; reading books, listening books, reading to my children, and I’m working on my debut novel.
